Collection: Wood
Carving figures from wood is really where all this started, going back to teaching an abstract figure lesson in my sculpture classes for decades, and finally branching out into using larger materials myself. Wood is still, in my opinion, a classic media for sculpture and far unique from bronze. The final surface usually shows some tool marks and is usually done in a natural finish; varnish, oil, or occasional stain.
